Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Bonita Hom, OTD, OTR/L earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, she worked as a behavioral therapist in the home, clinic, and school settings. Bonita has experience working in early intervention and sensory integration outpatient clinics. She has completed USC’s Sensory Integration coursework and is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding. Bonita was drawn to pediatric occupational therapy when she saw how it combined functional skills with natural and meaningful play to improve each child’s quality of life. She loves the intentionality and creativity of therapy and believes that hope and growth begins with feeling understood! Outside of work, she enjoys drawing/painting, beach walks, tossing a frisbee, cooking, exploring new cafes, and any kind of craft.
