Alex Block M.A. CF-SLP earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Delaware. Inspired by the positive impact speech therapy had on her older brother with autism, Alex developed a strong passion for the field. She is particularly dedicated to early intervention, AAC, and working with individuals with autism. Throughout her training, Alex cultivated a comprehensive clinical experience in evaluating and treating children in the areas of articulation, expressive/receptive language, social communication, and feeding and swallowing. She has worked in a variety of settings including a transitional program for students ages 18-22 with complex needs, provided in-home early intervention services for the birth to three population, and treated a diverse range of clients in her university’s clinic. She loves child-led, play-based therapy and takes great joy in watching children flourish and grow. Alex is dedicated to empowering parents and families with the tools to support their children’s communication and developmental progress. Outside of the clinic, Alex enjoys going to concerts, exercising, spending time outside, and spending time with her sister in Redondo Beach. Originally from New Jersey, Alex is eager to embrace her new home in Southern California.
